How we source these listings
This site does not own, manage or rent out a single property on Bonaire. It collects what the island's rental providers publish themselves and puts it in one search. That only works if you know exactly where the numbers come from, so here is the whole thing.

Where the data comes from
We read the public listing pages of 11 rental providers on Bonaire and pull the same fields from each one: type, bedrooms, bathrooms, guests, price, neighbourhood, amenities and photos. That gives 538 listings, which we merge into 516 distinct properties. You can see every provider, with a link to their own site, on the providers page.
We do not scrape Airbnb, Booking.com or any other site whose terms forbid it. Where a property reaches us through a partner instead of the provider directly, it is marked as such below.
Why the same house can appear more than once
On Bonaire one property is often marketed by several agencies at the same time, at different prices. Rather than showing you the same house four times, we merge those into one page and list every provider that offers it, cheapest first. Right now 20 of the 516 properties are sold by more than one provider, and the price gap between the cheapest and the most expensive can run into hundreds of dollars a night for the exact same house.
Merging is deliberate work, not a guess by string matching. Two listings only become one property when the address, the provider's own identifiers and the room count all agree. A shared neighbourhood name is never enough, and a different bedroom count means a different unit.
Prices are an indication, not a quote
Treat every price here as a starting point for your own check. Three things are worth knowing:
- 258 properties publish a nightly rate. For 43 more we only have a weekly rate, and we divide it by seven so you can still compare and filter. Those are marked as an indication on the page.
- 32 properties show no price at all, because the provider only quotes on request.
- Prices are in US dollars as the provider publishes them, and they usually exclude cleaning, tourist tax and deposits. Season, length of stay and number of guests all move the real number.
The provider always has the final word. If what you see here differs from what the provider says, the provider is right and we are out of date. Every listing links straight to the original, and that is the page that counts when you book.
Availability
We do not take bookings and we do not hold a calendar. What we do track is whether a provider still has the property listed as available: 111 of the 516 are currently marked as booked or rented. We keep those visible rather than hiding them, because a house that is let today is often free again next season, and because quietly deleting them would make the site look bigger than it is.
Where we put things on the map
Placing a rental on a map is only honest if you know how precise the dot is. We use three levels:
- 283 properties have a street address in the source data, which we geocode against OpenStreetMap. Those get a pin on the exact spot.
- 195 properties only tell us the neighbourhood. Those get a circle over that neighbourhood and no pin, because a pin would suggest a precision we do not have.
- 38 properties give us neither, and are left off the map.
The distances we calculate to Kralendijk, the airport and the nearest dive site follow the same rule. When they are measured from the middle of a neighbourhood instead of the property itself, the page says so.
What we write ourselves
The summary, the distances, the "who this suits" lines and the booking conditions table on each listing page are ours, worked out from the structured data. They are generated by fixed rules rather than by an AI writing model, so the same input always produces the same text and nothing is invented. The provider's own description is shown underneath as an excerpt, with their name on it and a link to read the rest on their site.
How this site makes money
Through affiliate links. When you book through certain partners after clicking from here, we may receive a commission. That commission is paid by the partner and does not change what you pay.
Right now that applies to listings from Vrbo. Every other link on this site goes straight to the provider with no commission attached.
Affiliate links never affect the order in which properties are shown, and no provider can pay to rank higher or to have a listing removed.
How the default order works
You can sort any list yourself, by price, bedrooms, area or name. Until you do, we put the listings that are actually usable first. That is a fixed formula over public fields, not a judgement about which property is nicer:
- Available beats booked, by a wide margin. A house that is already let does not help you.
- Photos count, up to about five. Beyond that, more of them says little.
- A published price, a known neighbourhood, a known bedroom count and an exact location on the map each add a little.
- A real description counts more than two lines of text.
Two listings that score the same are ordered by name, so the list does not shuffle between visits. The only way for a provider to move up is to publish a more complete listing, which is exactly the behaviour that helps you.
Getting something corrected
If you are a provider and something here is wrong, out of date, or you would rather not be listed at all, say so and we will fix or remove it. The same goes for anyone who spots a mistake. This site is only worth using if what is on it is right.
